I think the main issue with that is that what is considered a good fit is so subjective.
There is a substantial amount of objectivity in what constitutes well fitting clothes. Even after accounting for subjectivity in terms a personal look, style, or preference, it’s still possible that something just doesn’t look good and that a different size or cut would be more appealing. Or perhaps a certain brand just doesn’t work for a certain body type (for example me and Flat Head shirts).
Totally agree, well said.

@motojobobo i think the punctuation is right but he could have italicized “you” to stress the point.
Unless he really feels he doesn’t look good. Which is possible.
-
@motojobobo, I think it's less an issue of punctuation and more an issue of vagueness. It would be more clear if he said, "what's important is that you don't think so" or "you don't think you do".
You'll have to forgive neph's occasional lapses- he don't speak English good like us Americans does.

I've found reading this thread really interesting. As a relative noob myself, I have found only the most polite (and all too often enabling…which is of course what I want to hear) members on this forum.
I myself am the type that loves to research the shit out of the things that I am interested in, especially the expensive things. Often times i'll do 40% of the research, get stoked or FOMO, pull the trigger on the item, then continue on to doing the other 60% of the research while waiting to receive the item....where, inevitably, lots of questions start popping up.
On the really popular item threads in this forum, there may be 60-100+ pages of discourse going on. A lot of which can be members engaged in banter and fun chit chat...delving into all that (and I generally do due to my curiosity) can be A LOT for most people...
What I love about this forum is the interaction with the members! It's fun to ask questions and get a broad range of new input that is directed right at me personally. It becomes less a research tool and more a discussion with like minded people...
This is the first forum (outside of a few questions on some fly fishing forums) that i've ever engaged with like this. I love that it's not just limited to IH products and that it's more about the broader community and values we all seem to share in regards to well made things and what we find cool! I commend the fine folks at IH, and perhaps @Giles foremost, for helping to create such a cool way to share ideas and build support for a brand we have all seemed to lose our minds over.
Sure, my fiance laughs at me for posting pics of my clothes and sharing them on a chat forum….sure it's a secret I keep from pretty much all my friends...haha....but I sure enjoy the support and engagement i've found here!!

Awesome post @Mizmazzle I do not occlude my activities here, however I am now used to the the look of incomprehension I get when trying to explain what all this is about. After a decade, my wife now “gets it”.

I finished reading this thread as an IH n00b. I get it. For us neophytes, it's a lot to consume and a whole different kettle of fish buying well-built and handmade clothing online. I'm also guilty of at least one repetitive, new-guy question. And I appreciate the kind and supportive nature of the members here.
That said if I did have a question, or was after some advice about selecting a cut and wash for a pair of IH denim, where might a guy go for such a thing?

@Bobcat Sig There’s no such thing as a stupid question: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=10393.msg504042#msg504042
