I fell off a skateboard so hard like 20 years ago. I was skating on the smooth concrete floor of my basement and went flat on my back. As I lay dying, my prevalent thought was “Man my wife’s going to be so mad at me.”

@Matt I haven't been on a skateboard for 20 years (although I've surfed a lot in those years, if that counts for anything?) - cautiously relearning as my kids are getting into it. That's my excuse anyway, but the same thought has definitely gone through my head

I bought the girls skateboards and they showed no interest. That was going to be my rationale for convincing Katie to let me skate. Oh well.

I recently started longboarding…I look like a funny old guy with football pads mowing a lawn

@goosehd Mine's a surfskate - slower and less twitchy than a conventional skateboard, same size wheels as a longboard. Proper middle-aged man board!
