RE: Y’2 Leathers….
Indigo Single Rider (IR-42). Around 20 wears in, getting some creasing on the arms and shoulder mobility is getting better… but this is going to take I think ~100 wears before it’s comfortable!

RE: IHSH-389-IND - 12oz Dobby Cloth CPO Shirt - Indigo
7 wears in; XXL on 6’1”, 210 pounds. The arms were quite tight initially, but have loosened up nicely with wear!

RE: IHSH-380-IND - 12oz Dobby Cloth Work Shirt - Indigo
Given the number of times it’s come up, I think we should reach a compromise between the ‘W’ and ‘no W’ people. That’s right, I think we should turn it sideways into an ‘M’. This will make everyone happy. I will not be asking for feedback or thoughts on this idea, thank you.

RE: World-Class Customer Service
@seawolf I will 100% agree that your take on store credit versus returns is absolutely the right one from a logical perspective. I will say, at this point, I have found the shops and people that provide good service in the US, mostly through previous purchases, assistance with sizing, and hearing the store manager/owners on podcasts (I’m very grateful to @Olly and Ironcast specifically… it’s very informative to hear their business philosophies and find the people I like to support).
For these shops, I’m happy to take store credit as 1) I’ll almost assuredly be buying from them again, and 2) as I understand, the retail margins on the shops is quite small, and I prefer to support them now for success in the future.
Again: I think you are completely correct from a logical perspective, this is just more an emotional take!

RE: IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo
@Jcaz6996 Have you thought about doing a 'how I break in denim' thread for us newbies? We'd love to learn from you!

@Mizmazzle looks like they said February 2024 in the release calendar, and not too many days left in the month!

RE: Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
I’d plug an IH-101-JV (or any style/weight with the patch chest pockets/boxier fit) with handwarmer pockets!

Any news of a planned restock on this? Thanks in advance!

RE: Nine Lives
@AdamJ Eagerly awaiting whatever's going on behind the scenes! I'd love to see further utilization of their 18oz sashiko fabrics. I've been eyeing the 'Go Blue!'* Varsity Jacket, but haven't seen many photos of it online and have been hesitant to pull the trigger for that reason. Would be great for them to have the forum integration of IH products so that we can get more details and a place to share experiences/community photos!
*A name I hate as an Ohio State University graduate, as our hated arch rival the University of Michigan grads have adopted this phrase

RE: Nine Lives
Does IHUK manage or own the Nine Lives brand now? I had reached out to Nine Lives customer service and received a reply from the very excellent AJ, which surprised me!

RE: World-Class Customer Service
Iron Heart has the best (fastest, most thorough, most patient, most consistent) customer service I’ve ever experienced. Will add great experiences with Meadow clothing (Sweden), Iron Shop Provisions (Louisiana, United States) as well

RE: 3sixteen
I've had somewhat mixed feeling on 3Sixteen after purchasing a few of their products
Pros
- Unique and varied designs, some MiUSA denim
- Availability of pieces, including collaborations
- Lightweight fabric choices (in flannels/denim), allowing for easier wear in warm climates
Cons
- Somewhat unpredictable sizing (although Iron Heart has very much spoiled me in this manner)
- Similar pricing to similar clothing for some made in Japan brands (SDA, Samurai, Japan Blue, Oni), while making a lot of their products in India. I'm sure it is possible to get ethically manufactured clothing from shops in India, but I always feel better about IH and the other MiJ brands because I can be much more confident that they are paying fair wages in a country where the government ensures appropriate working conditions.
